Chapter 10: Less Is More

Chapter Synopsis:

If you were to ask your own school team to name all of the initiatives happening in your school, would you get the same three or four answers, or would there be confusion under a plethora of initiatives?  This chapter focuses on the idea that “less is more” and that if we are to go deep into our learning, we need to not focus on doing everything.

Discussion Questions:

  1. What are the key areas that you and your community can focus on to bring your vision closer to reality?
  2. How do you create opportunities and time for teams to lead in any specific area, and how will “success” be measured?
  3. Moving forward, how could you lessen the “plate” of your staff and organization? What needs to stay and what needs to go?
