One of our teachers shared with me this very powerful video by Rick Lavoie on “poker chips” for our kids. I really believe that students are more likely to be successful if we can help them build their confidence. I appreciate that Lavoie talks about finding what kids are really good at, and building upon that with them. It is essential for me to be an advocate for our kids and help them get as many “poker chips” as possible!
